First of two window seats with radiator screen and removable top.
The front was cut out of 6mm MDF then the decorative radiator screen panel was glued to it. To hide the supports of the edge of the seat I added two vertical supports hidden by making three openings through to the radiator panel, the central opening was cut slightly wider to reflect the window dimensions above.
The top was cut using a template and the ends cut off at a 10-degree angle to allow the top to easily be removed for access to the radiator.
All the MDF was treated with MDF sealer allowing the customer to paint in their preferred finish.
Small details, the openings in the front were aligned with the pattern of the radiator screen so that the same amount of pattern was covered each side.
